  One Movement For Music Perth is the essential tastemaker and music industry event in the southern hemisphere. In 2009, it came, it conquered. One Movement For Music descended on the Australian seaside city of Perth in October and proved itself as one of the most important music industry conference and showcase events in the southern hemisphere. The response from artists, delegates and speakers was unanimous - One Movement is now firmly fixed in their annual calendar. In 2010, over 200 artists, 100 speakers, hundreds of delegates and thousands of music fans will again descend on this event for four fabulous days of impressive events featuring a two-day showcase festival, and industry conference, fringe festival and private industry events.

  The Mildura Jazz, Food and Wine Festival is a well established event that attracts many locals and visitors to the Mildura district. The Festival takes place as an annual Spring-time event, presenting four days of round the clock jazz entertainment in popular clubs, bars and cafes, restaurants, churches, as well as street side and riverside venues – with feature events utilising unique Murray River settings and all events showcasing regional food and wine. The Festival combines traditional Jazz and Swing with more contemporary and quirky sounds and caters to hardcore jazz enthusiasts and music lovers, not to mention those that just enjoy sitting back to the music, soaking in the ambience of one of Mildura's paddle steamers, riverside wineries and parks, taking in the gourmet food and locally produced wine. • Cape to Cape MTB Western Australia: 14 - 17 Oct 2010

  Cape to Cape MTB is a four-day mountain bike race through the Margaret River region in Western Australia. The event is a challenge to riders of all levels, either competitive or recreational. The course is set to an iconic backdrop of world-famous surf beaches, private farmlands, rocky outcrops and national forests. The world-famous tourist destination of the south-west corner of Western Australia is marked by the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse at the southern tip and the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse at the northern tip. The Cape to Cape MTB Western Australia will run from Cape Leeuwin to the bay of Dunsborough along a network of bush tracks, forest trails, roads and old railway lines.   More than 100 of the world's best off-road four-wheel drive, motorbike and quad bike competitors will begin the 23rd annual Australasian Safari in Perth. Considered the Paris to Dakar of the Asia Pacific region, the event is renowned as one of the toughest and most challenging motoring events in the world. Covering over 4,000 kilometres, over seven days, the gruelling off-road rally event will travel across the Western Australian outback from the coastal shores of Perth, through the Midwest and finishing in Kalgoorlie. The event comprises of three competition categories – Auto, Moto and Quad. Four-wheel drive and motor bike enthusiasts can follow the safari and experience the exhilaration of competitive off-road rallying or competition pressures by joining the fully-guided adventure tour component of the event.   The Festival of the Sea event celebrates the annual migration of whales along Australia's east coast. The event makes for a great family day out and includes a variety of community activities. Daily fun and activities include: arts and crafts tent, sand art, aero jump, tattooist, whale cruises, interactive stands, markets and much more. • 2010 World Solo 24 Hour MTB Championships and 2010 Scott Australian 24 Hour MTB Championships: 09 - 10 Oct 2010

  This is going to be 24 hours of adrenaline – two gruelling events over one big weekend! Canberra is playing host to the World Solo 24 Hour MTB Championships, which is being staged outside of North America for the first time. Attracting some of the world's best solo mountainbike riders in elite and aggroup categories, it will be run in conjunction with the popular Scott Australian MTB Championships. Watch teams battling it out against the terrain, the clock and each other with the aim of completing the most laps around Stromlo Forest Park.
