• Australian International Three Day Event 2009: 13 - 15 Nov 2009

  The Australian International Three Day Event (AI3DE) is Australia's pinnacle equestrian event, showcasing Australasia's best riders and equine athletes, as well as Adelaide's beautiful parks and gardens, easy living lifestyle and Rundle Street precinct. In 2009, the Australian International Three Day Event will host the Trans Tasman series, inviting New Zealand's top four riders and horses to travel to South Australia and compete against an Australian Team. This year's event will feature an extended program of activities across the weekend including the Mutual Community Cross Country Challenge; a more family focused Cross Country Day, Grape and Gourmet Gallop food and wine fair, creating more of a ‘village' atmosphere within Rymill Park. The ‘Dressage with the Stars' lunch will again be held on dressage day with dressage to music demonstrations and other entertainment.

• 2009 Carlton Midstrength Northern Territory Billfish Championship: 16 - 19 Nov 2009

  Exhaust yourself reeling in a giant sailfish. The Carlton Midstrength Northern Territory Billfish Championship, hosted by the Gove Game Fishing Club Inc, is the Territory's premier bluewater event. This tag-and-release comp is only for marlin and sailfish and is a keenly contested challenge. Competitors fish in pristine waters that saw a total of 30 sailfish and 4 black marlin (80 kilograms plus) tagged when this event was last held. Fish can be caught within five miles of the export wharf, and there are great prizes and a great atmosphere among competing anglers. Four full days of fishing is followed by a presentation night held on the Friday. This is a team event with boat fishing only, charters can be organised, but you must book early.

• 31st World FITASC Sporting Championships 2009: 16 - 22 Nov 2009

  In November 2009, Warrnambool will host the 31st World FITASC (Federation Internationale De Tir Aux Armes Sportives De Chasse) Sporting Championships for Clay shooting. It is anticipated that over 600 competitors from more than 24 countries will be attending the Championships.

• Frog Day at Wirrimbirra Sanctuary: 8 Nov 2009

  Frog Day @ Wirrimbirra - Frogs are some of the most fascinating little creatures around. Sadly, their numbers are declining rapidly due to habitat loss. You can help stop this! Take the family along to Wirrimbirra and learn just about everything you want to know about frogs. Find out how to attract frogs to your garden, and get answers to your frog-related questions. There'll be displays and activities right throughout the day and a wildlife expert will have plenty of information and hands-on opportunities for everyone. Look for the display of frog-friendly plants in Wirrimbirra's Native Nursery, and say hello to their resident native fauna - kangaroos, wallabies, emus, wombats, cockatoos, dingoes, tawny frogmouths, and rainbow lorikeets. • Sunseeker Australia Cup: 26 - 29 Nov 2009

  After a hiatus of eight years, the Sunseeker Australia Cup has returned to Perth attracting the world's most elite skippers and their crew from around the world to contest the hottest invitation only event. In an effort to show the action packed racing within arm's reach (being only a few metres from the Swan River shoreline) the key racing will be hosted in Perth waters (the city side of the Narrows Bridge) which is a first in Perth's 145 year history. This exclusive event has attracted the top skippers and their teams from around the world competing on Foundation 36 One Design yachts. As all crews will sail the same yacht design in the same conditions the Sunseeker Australia Cup is considered a true test of sailing skill and teamwork. • Mildura Jazz Food and Wine Festival: 30 Oct - 2 Nov 2009

  The Mildura Jazz, Food and Wine Festival is a well established event that has attracted many locals and visitors to the Mildura district over the past twenty nine years. The Festival takes place as an annual Spring-time event, presenting four days of round the clock jazz entertainment in popular clubs, bars and cafes, restaurants, churches, as well as street side and riverside venues – with feature events utilising unique Murray River settings and all events showcasing regional food and wine. The Festival combines Trad Jazz and Swing with more contemporary and quirky sounds and caters to hardcore jazz enthusiasts and music lovers, not to mention those that just enjoy sitting back to the music, soaking in the ambiance of one of Mildura's paddle steamers, riverside wineries and parks, taking in the gourmet food and locally produced wine. The Festival incorporates ticketed and free events and provides a non-stop program that caters to the tastes of all, attracting a growing number of visitors, as well as local audience members. 2009 marks the 30th Anniversary for the Festival and work is already underway to make this Festival a memorable one.
  
  
  
  
  

• Taralga Heritage Rally: 14 - 15 Nov 2009

  The historic village of Taralga will again play host to the annual heritage rally. The event will showcase vintage farm machinery, vintage and veteran cars and bikes. There will be displays of models from the Sydney Powerhouse Museum and demonstrations of live steam chaff cutting, shearing, traction engines and tractors. Kids of all ages will enjoy the heritage games which include gumboot throwing, sheaf tossing, old country games and a vintage tractor pull. • Sydney Christmas Parade: 29 Nov 2009

  The Sydney Christmas Parade is an annual community and cultural event, held on the last Sunday of November in Sydney's central business district. See floats of all shapes and sizes along with dancers, cheerleaders, singers, celebrities, sporting heroes, cartoon characters and more. The parade aims to bring back the spirit of Christmas; bring the community together, bring the family unit together and to support the charities of Sydney. The Sydney Christmas Parade travels down George Street and finishes at Santa's Village in Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour, where the entertainment continues.
