  Sail Port Stephens is an annual yachting regatta held in the gorgeous waterways of the Port Stephens Marine Park, with the regatta centre hosted at d'Albora Marina, Nelson Bay. The regatta offers great sailing, a dynamic social and entertainment program plus loads of children's activities. All sailing and race management is under the direction of internationally recognised and respected Principal Race Officer, Denis Thompson - with competition and racing to suit everyone from the cruiser racer to the hard core IRC competitor. Sail Port Stephens is one of the fastest growing regattas on the Australian calendar and set to become an internationally recognised yachting event. Port Stephens is an easy drive from Sydney in less than three hours, or fly from Melbourne or Queensland, direct to Newcastle Airport. It's family friendly, affordable and fun!

  The Canberra District Wine Harvest Festival is a celebration of the annual wine harvest. The Festival weekend showcases the Canberra District Wineries with all the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of harvest, a time when picking, pressing and even stomping of the grapes becomes centre stage. Engage your senses with special wine tastings or talks from the winemakers. Join a tour, watch wine making demonstrations, enjoy live music and challenge your tastebuds with food and wine matching. • Ulladulla Blessing Of The Fleet Festival: 1 - 5 April 2010

  Fishing is an important element of Ulladulla's economy and the Blessing of the Fleet is an honoured tradition kept alive by the area's descendants of the original Italian fishing community and by the proud town in general. There are a myriad of colourful and exciting events held throughout the Festival over the Easter weekend and beyond, including the Blessing of the Fleet main street parade and day of entertainment on Easter Sunday. This true family festival will be staged over all three days of Easter holiday but the most significant element will be the actual Blessing of the Fleet, on the morning of Easter Sunday. Come and enjoy the South Coast Maritime and History Expo at the Ulladulla Civic Centre on Easter Saturday and Sunday The festivities will conclude with a magnificent fireworks display, over Ulladulla Harbour on Easter Sunday. There is also the Harbour Markets on Easter Monday.

  Join in the excitement of horse racing in the heart of Central Australia. The Alice Springs Cup Carnival is a program of five race days over a four-week period. The food and wine day heralds the start of the cup carnival, followed by Young Guns Day, where revellers mix and mingle in the party marquee with live music, games and loads of prizes. On Ladies Day the fairer sex can show off their finery, while lunching in The Pavilion overlooking the magnificent MacDonnell Ranges. • RacingThePlanet: Australia 2010: 25 April - 1 May 2010

  RacingThePlanet is a unique category of rough country foot races that take place over seven days and 250 kilometers in remote and culturally rich locations around the world. Competitors are challenged both physically and mentally to go beyond their athletic frontiers. Racing in the most inhospitable climates and forbidding landscapes, they must carry all their own equipment and food, and are only provided with water and a place in a tent each night to rest. Currently the events consist of the world-renowned four Deserts series comprising the Gobi March in China, the Atacama Crossing in Chile, the Sahara Race in Egypt and The Last Desert in Antarctica, plus a fifth event - RacingThePlanet – that takes place in a new location each year. RacingThePlanet: Australia is the third edition of the race, which has previously been run in the remote rice paddy fields of Vietnam, and the canyons and deserts of Namibia.
